Thumbs Up

Thank you to the gentleman in Subway in Hellertown for paying for two senior sisters’ meals. We will pass it forward. Thank you.

Thumbs Down

To the owner/owners of a black cat with some white on it and a striped gray cat. In the area of Dogwood, Locust,
Tilghman Street area of Coopersburg. These cats have been running around, going into our garage
and using neighbors’ gardens to do their business. I am allergic to cats and would appreciate if your pets were kept at home.

Thumbs Up

To property owners who keep their trees and shrubs trimmed back from the road and sidewalk. It is nice to see there are people who are taking care of their property so it is clear for others when driving on the road and/or walking on the sidewalks.

Thumbs Up

To the Springfield Township Police. Their response to police matters are handled in a very professional manner. Thank you. You have our support.

Thumbs Down

To the land owners who do not trim trees and shrubs on their property. The vegetation is growing out toward the street, or onto the sidewalks where people like to walk. It could be hazardous for vehicles that have to pull out at intersections if their line of vision is blocked. When walking on the sidewalks, branches are hanging down, someone could get hurt.

Thumbs Up

To the guys who remodeled the bridge over the two ponds at Melody Lakes. It looks beautiful and everyone should be so grateful that our grounds are kept so beautiful!

Thumbs Up

To the East Rockhill Township guys who did the resurfacing of the Markey Park walking path. It is fantastic! Hopefully you will do the other half before Winter! Great job!

Thumbs Up

To the kind person who found my cell phone in the parking lot at Landis Supermarket in Perkasie on October 1. Thankful to God for people like you. A big thank you!

Thumbs Up

To all the people that are enjoying fire pits in their backyards! Keep making memories and having fun with your friends and family! Forget the Karens of the world!

Thumbs Down

To the bank that closed my account because there was fraud on my debit card. I was the victim here, why do I get punished for it?

Thumbs Up

Thank you to Officer Nelson of the Upper Saucon P.D. for your compassionate & knowledgeable response to our family emergency on September 6th. You are an asset to our community!

Thumbs Down

To the “Schools not Screens” lawn signs popping up. We are in the midst of a pandemic and keeping teachers and students safe while continuing to care for our children’s education is a difficult task. Teachers and students would rather be in schools and not learning remotely. Try being supportive rather than putting more stress on students, teachers and administrators. Signs like these create more division in a time when we need unity.

Thumbs Down

To another new housing development for 112 new homes on Flint Hill Road and Taylor Drive. The traffic on 309 North is already bad with traffic backed up from the Giant to the light at Passer Rd. We will now have to contend with the traffic from the Wawa being built at Route 309 and Passer Rd. and the traffic from the new development. What’s next? A stop light at Flint Hill and Walnut Lane? This once peaceful place to live is sadly coming to an end.

Thumbs Up

To the generous businesses and citizens of Quakertown and nearby communities who have supported the Quakertown Food Pantry throughout these trying times. We couldn’t do it without you!

Thumbs Down

To fast drivers. Please slow down and give all wildlife a chance to make it safely across the road. Roadways are slippery for deer, their hooves have no traction.

Thumbs Up

Thank you to whoever returned the pelican statue to my mother’s home on Main Street in Quakertown. The statue had sentimental value and was returned in perfect condition. We are not sure of the reason for initially taking the statue, but we are very happy to have it back home.

Thumbs Down

To the neighbors who use our cul-de-sac as their own personal parking lot.

Thumbs Down

To motorists who break state law by not yielding to pedestrians who use crosswalks to cross Main Street in Hellertown.
