Thumbs Up

To the
Coopersburg Police
who help the
seniors at the Coop II
apartments.
Much appreciated.

Thumbs Up

To the youth from
Butter Valley Community Church
who washed 102 cars
on Saturday from 7am to 1pm
to raise money for their
summer mission trip.
There are a lot of good
hard working youth
that you never hear about.
Good job!

Thumbs Up

To the
Haycock Fire Company
for all you do
in our community to
keep us safe.
Your commitment does
not go unnoticed.

Thumbs Down

To the ignoramus
who removed the Hawaiian lei
from the Coopersburg cow.
This lei was lovingly
placed in celebration of the
summer season
(and nothing more)!
Shame on you for
stealing passerbys joy
in our town and in
the season.

Thumbs Down

To the Haycock residents
who are illegally
burning trash that is toxic.
You should not
be having an open burn
in dry hazardous conditions.
The smoke from your
trash burning is dangerous
for humans and animals alike.
I’ll pay for your recycling if
you are too cheap.
Also, I am not confusing this
with the Canadian fires
from the past week.
This has been
going on for years!

Thumbs Down

To the lazy people
who leave their trash
out all week along the road.
Sometimes with heavy winds
the containers end up
in the road and
they expect the motorists
to pick them up
for them.

Thumbs Down

To myself
for passing people
when I should have
pulled over Friday morning.
I am sorry to those
around me,
I had no sleep
previously and couldn’t
function or think.

Thumbs Up

A very nice man
from Stone Depot saw a
lady struggling to fill a
gas can on
Saturday morning and
came over to help me!
That random act of kindness
made my day!

Thumbs Up

Thank you to the
State Trooper who pulled over
the reckless and aggressive
driver on Route 563 in
Haycock Township
(after they passed multiple cars,
barely avoiding a
head on collision into a line
of oncoming traffic)
near the Nockamixon State Park office
around 12:30pm on Saturday, June 17.
Unfortunately there are many
who treat this stretch of roadway
as a race course and
I sincerely thank the
State Police
for trying to make the
roadway safer and making
a difference!

Thumbs Up

To the Good Samaritan
who gave comfort to the little boy
pulling his wagon with his little dog
following behind, down Route 611
on Monday, June 12.
Please tell the story so we of faith
can send a prayer of thanks.

Thumbs Up

To the Google Maps driver
who captured my neighbor’s
broken mailbox of 2 months
on Google Map’s street view.
You inspired my neighbor to finally fix it.
Thank you!

Thumbs Down

To the teen boy
on a motorcycle that
passed me on Church Road, Telford
and passed 5 more vehicles
on State Road, Telford.
Obey traffic laws.
You give bikers a bad
reputation,
plus your face is
recognizable.

Thumbs Down

To the people
who advertise who don’t
return calls and worse make
appointments and don’t show up.
Why do you bother to advertise?

Thumbs Down

To the person who stole
the antique wheel & tire that
was with its mate against the
tree for decorative purposes.
Please return it, no questions asked.
It was special to me.
I just want it back.
Located in Quakertown on
Mill Street between the library and the pool.

Thumbs Up

Deep appreciation and thank you
to the individual who found and
returned a lost woman’s wallet
in Silverdale on Oak Drive.
Best wishes and
good fortune to you.

Thumbs Down

To those responsible
for not enforcing something to
be done to the property
that once was
Bubba’s Pot Belly Stove Restaurant.
It is an eyesore and a setup
for danger for curious kids and/or
the homeless population
(yes, there is one in this area).
Not to mention I worked at
this restaurant in the heyday
and it is extremely sad to
see it languishing there.
It has been 3+ years and it’s time to
put it out of its misery.
It’s high time to hold the
property owner responsible.

Thumbs Down

To the person in the pick-up truck
who hit my Guinea Hen on
Apple Street in Hellertown.
It hurt me badly.

Thumbs Down

To go-cart drivers on the Saucon Rail Trail.
Your behavior is illegal
(no carts on the trail/roads;
no audio recording)
and rude (dust and rancid gas trails).
Please find another location that
won’t endanger you/young child passenger,
pedestrians and vehicles that can’t see
you dart into a roadway.

Thumbs Down

To the people
who continuously speed
and run stop signs
in Dublin Village Greene.
Please stop breaking
the law before someone gets hurt.
