Thumbs Up

To the anonymous florist who almost a year ago realized that this Covid-19 would decimate his Easter flower business. He so graciously trucked hundreds of flats of gorgeous pansies to the Coopersburg Fire Company lawn where everyone was invited to help themselves to these healthy, beautiful plants for free or for a donation. Dozens of us were thrilled not only to ”adopt” the pansies, but also just to stroll among such color and life. All over our town the pansies created spots of light and hope in the yards and porches of our community. Even in the darkest of days of this past year, we remember the happiness those pansies inspired. We especially remember, with deep gratitude, the generous donor who shared so much beauty with us all. Bless you and thank you.

Thumbs Up

To the kind couple at Dunkin’ Donuts in Coopersburg on Sunday afternoon who paid for our coffee in the drive-thru. Completely unexpected, but such a kind gesture. There are still kind people out there. Also, I completely agree with your bumper sticker by the way. Thank you!

Thumbs Down

How irresponsible and sad to keep your cats outside, never to return, with no shots, half frozen, frost bitten ears! Hungry, scared… I could go on. Shame on you!! Do us all a favor, don’t get pets! Ever! From someone who loves & respects them!

Thumbs Up

To Layla Abusaft for her committed spirit and her will to succeed. A true inspiration to us all. Keep up the great hustle for your Troop 21374. Three Thumbs Up! Thanks

Thumbs Down

To all who passed by when I fell on Park Avenue in Quakertown on Wednesday, February 3rd. At least 15-20 cars drove by and did not stop to help. I am 78 with two knee replacements. I did not have my cell phone. I laid there about 45 minutes. Finally I was able crawl to my car. I would have appreciated if someone would have called 911 for me.

Thumbs Up

To the kind soul in East Rockhill who laid down my two trash bins inside the fence so they wouldn’t blow into the road.

Thumbs Up

To all the owners of outside cats. Thank you for saving our neighborhoods from the mice infestation! We are indebted to you. Keep up the great work!

Thumbs Up

To the trash collectors that have to put up with all the ignorant people.
Thank you for your service.

Thumbs Up

Thank you to all who supported our January 31 food drive to benefit the Lord’s Pantry in Ottsville. Your care of our neighbors made a difference.
St. Luke’s United Church of Christ Ottsville

Thumbs Down

To the restaurants that think 25%-50% means to have every table filled. I picked up take-out for the last time. If they can’t follow the rules with COVID who knows what other rules they don’t follow.

Thumbs Up

To all the Nurses, Doctors, and other Front Line workers who continue doing their jobs in spite of the exhaustion, fears, uncertainty and sometimes ignorance. We may not be standing outside your hospitals as much anymore, or holding up signs. because we, unfortunately, have gotten so ”used to” the world now. Please never think you aren’t appreciated. Thank You

Thumbs Down

To the people that have no respect for the trash collectors that need to crawl over your snow piles to get your bags and cans. Dig out a spot for them. Move out of town and see that we shovel out for trash and mail, sidewalks and driveways.

To Perkasie Borough for listening to the community. New digital speed signs, prohibiting truck traffic in our neighborhood, and changing traffic light patterns that haven’t changed since the 70’s! A big thank you from South 3rd Street!

Thumbs Up

To the family on South Perkasie Road that lit a very large pine tree over the holidays. You made my pre-dawn trip to work every day brighter. Thank you!
