Thumbs Up

Thank you to the kind gentleman at Giovanni’s on July 29th who paid for the lunch of two ladies. Blessings to you. Your kindness will be paid forward.

Thumbs Down

To whoever stole my 30” white cement pelican with orange beak and feet which was on a green slab of cement. Taken from my porch on S. Main Street, Quakertown between midnight and 8am on July 30. We have had it for many years. I would like my pelican buddy returned to my porch. You may return it anonymously, no questions asked. Thank you.

Thumbs Up

In the afternoon of July 27th I was in a Quakertown pet supply store to purchase a bag of dog food and a box of treats for my dog. Without knowing it, a young couple ahead of me at the checkout register paid for my entire purchase. I would like to thank them for their generosity.

Thumbs Up

To the tractor trailer driver who turned onto East Broad Street from Hellertown Avenue and got out of his truck to help direct an older gentleman who got confused while crossing the street.

Thumbs Up

To the lady with her family who bought my dinner at Dominick’s Restaurant in Downtown Quakertown on Saturday, July 11. I opened the door for you as you were called to go in for your food and you said ”Thank you, dear”. I was called to go in for my food and found out that my food was paid for. The waitress did not know your name. I say to you now, ”Thank you, dear, you are truly a precious and thoughtful, dear lady!!

Thumbs Up

To the Police, EMS workers and Firefighters for the great job you all do.

Thumbs Up

To whoever took my ”Stop The Quarry” sign. Please display it prominently and thanks for your support. Additional free ones are available if you need them.

Thumbs Down

To the litterbugs who consistently leave broken glass bottles and other trash all over the playground at Living Memorial Park in Coopersburg. You are endangering the children who play there and embarrassing your parents who surely taught you better!

Thumbs Up

To the person who turned in my debit card and credit card to Hellertown Post Office. Also to the worker who held it at the front desk. May your good deed return to you tenfold. Thank you.

Thumbs Up

To the person who stopped to help me get up off the ground. I was walking my dog and got twisted in the leash and fell. Thank you for your help.

Thumbs Down

To the people who eat at the picnic tables behind Quakertown Dairy Queen and leave their trash lying there. If you’re going to use tables belonging to the medical offices nearby, why not also use their nearby dumpsters? Don’t expect the medical staff to don their PPE to clean up after you. And don’t put your skateboards and bikes on the tables. Do you do that at home?

Thumbs Up

To the 57 year old man who helped me when I fell on 5th Street in Perkasie. May your kindness be repaid double. Thank you.

Thumbs Down

To the driver of the SUV speeding down Quarry Road towards Dublin on August 13 approximately 10:30am. You were speeding so fast, and not paying attention, that you failed to notice me and my two large dogs standing by the side of the road. In an effort to avoid being struck by your car, I had to quickly step backwards and fell into a deep ditch sustaining a leg injury. You never stopped or even slowed down as my dogs and I struggled to get up. Shame on you!

Thumbs Up

Special shout out to Haycock Fire Department and everyone who coordinated and took the time to make my 100th Birthday drive-through parade on July 18th very special with decorated cars and wonderful signs. Thank you!

Thumbs Down

Why are local roads being needlessly oiled and chipped? Take Passer Road which was recently paved and had painted line markers on it. A nice, smooth road was oiled and chipped. What a waste of taxpayer money! Other roads like Richlandtown Pike have potholes. All this extra money not being used wisely. Wonder who is accountable?

Thumbs Up

To the tireless volunteers and the anonymous contractors who made it possible for Pennridge Little League to play ball. A real Home Run!
