Thumbs Up

Stop the Hunger Campaign. Hellertown Giant, the community, Second Harvest and volunteers need a big shout out for the support we have been receiving, especially for the last year when COVID-19 hit. Thank you for the generous support that everyone has shown for the Hellertown Area Community Food Bank housed at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church. Our church has been closed for worship and other ministries, but felt it was important to support this cause even if it was done with drive-thru pick up for the safety of all.

Thumbs Down

To the dude about a rental for discriminating against me because I have a legal service cat. Shame on you, that’s illegal.

Thumbs Up

To our neighbors who are fighting to preserve our environment for future generations.

Thumbs Up

To all our neighborhood dog walkers who do clean up after your dogs. Unfortunately the ”don’ts” get all the attention because they leave the evidence on their neighbors’ lawns. Thank you to all the folks who take their ”doggy bags” home with them instead of dropping them in other peoples’ trash bins. I am sure the municipal public works crew also appreciates not having to empty that from the public waste containers! Responsible pet owners know that there are two ends to a dog and you have to take care of the smelly end to enjoy the cute end.

Thumbs Down

To neighbors who put their unwanted junk behind their sheds so they don’t see it. Thanks! Now your neighbors have to look at it. Clean it up or put up a fence, please!

Thumbs Up

To the gentleman who paid for my lunch and my friend’s lunch at the East Penn Diner in Emmaus a couple of weeks ago. We were just sitting there enjoying our delicious brunch, talking about our late husbands. When it was time to leave our waitress informed us both checks had been paid for. Who says chivalry doesn’t exist anymore! God bless you, you kindhearted gentleman.

Thumbs Down

To people who put old clothing and blankets out for trash. There are plenty of donation boxes in the borough. Some people could use it even if it isn’t in perfect condition!

Thumbs Up

A great big ”Thank You” to the lady who paid for our breakfast at Rockhill Filling Station on Saturday, April 3. God bless you for your generosity! It meant so much to our family!

Thumbs Up

Thank you to the Quakertown community for the well organized Easter Egg Hunt. The kids had a lot of fun.

Thumbs Up

To the man who paid the extra amount of money my kids owed at Sunoco on Tuesday, April 6, when they got a little overzealous with their “fortune” they had to spend on some snacks. They came home with the biggest smiles and telling the story to everyone they see.
Thanks again.

Thumbs Up

To Perkasie Police when I was stranded and couldn’t start my car. Special kudos to Officer Gro, who responded, he had the ”magic touch”. He was able to start my car. I got home without my groceries spoiling. God bless our police.

Thumbs Down

To the businesses who thought this community would lay down and allow them to damage our rural way of life.

To the beautiful daffodils, forsythias and blooming trees, along with the sunshine, which brings hope into the communities. Happy Springtime!

Thumbs Down

To those responsible for allowing trash to accumulate on properties on 611 and Lookover Lanein Nockamixon Township. Get a dumpster and clean it up.

Thumbs Up

To the lovely couple who surprised us by paying for our dinner at Country Place! What a lovely gesture! We will pay it forward!

Thank you to all the borough residents working on their yards and gardens. I rent and have no yard of my own. Your beautiful yards bring me so much joy! From a Quakertown renter

Thumbs Down

Somebody around Lehtown is not taking care of their black cat. It’s constantly on our porch/yard looking for food. Why can’t you keep it in your own yard?

Thumbs Up

Heartfelt thanks to Team Ruby for their kindness, fast response and help to successfully find lost dogs. Their plan of action, dedication and knowledge is outstanding and greatly appreciated. Words cannot express my gratitude.
