Thumbs Up

Shout out
to the crews that
came out in the middle
of the night
to work to get the
power back up during
the outage so quickly.
You are appreciated!

Thumbs Up

To the person who
made a
Thumbs Down post
in the June 21st issue
of Penny Power
for not stopping
for folks who needed help.
We must forgive
our flaws.
Kindness is priceless
if we can afford it.

Thumbs Down

To the heartless,
despicable, low life thieves
who repeatedly steal
from cemeteries.
For years sentimental
trinkets, ornaments,
fresh flowers,
entire plant stands,
wind chimes,
momentos and more
have gone missing.
The police
have been made aware.
It’s only a
matter of time
before you get caught.
Ž”God never sleeps”

Thumbs Down

To all
inconsiderate
rooster owners.

Thumbs Down

Don’t people
in the Quakertown area
know the meaning of
“Yield to traffic in the circle”?
Rotaries work great
when that simple request
is honored.
Not so much when
people play
chicken with cars in
the circle.

Thumbs Up

To the Rail Trail
maintenance folks who
tend to the trails and fences,
keep the brush on the sides
cut back and
add new amenities.
Thank you for keeping
the trails in
good condition
for all to use.

Thumbs Down

To my neighbor
who is throwing trash
out their window.
This is definitely
a Big Thumbs Down!

Thumbs Down

To the business
where they have several
newly painted and designated
parking spaces
for curbside pick-up
right in front of their store,
yet the handicapped parking
is a greater distance away.
Where is the priority?

Thumbs Down

To the people
who put old clothing
and blankets, etc. in the trash.
There are plenty
of donation boxes everywhere.
Even if it’s ripped
they use it
for other things.
Besides, you are
adding more to the landfills
and it takes years
to disintegrate.

Thumbs Up

To the two Good Samaritans
who helped me
out in the checkout line.
There still are
good people in this world.
I will pay it forward.
Thank you and God Bless.

Thumbs Up

To the EMTs and police officer
who assisted me
on Friday, June 23.
My blood sugar dropped
while I was driving and I had
to be taken to the hospital.
Also, a special
thanks to my granddaughter
who made sure
my car was moved safely
off the roadway.
I am very thankful for
all the help I received.

Thumbs Down

I am very upset
that someone hit
a big rock in my garden.
You would have known
that you did damage
to your vehicle and my garden.
It was a big rock
and I have to hire someone
to fix it.
My husband and I work
hard to keep
our property nice,
also it is not cheap to do
up-keep on it.
At least have the decency
to let us know that
this happened.

Thumbs Down

To the kids shooting off fireworks
on East Park Avenue
in the parking lot
at 10:15pm Sunday, June 18.
It’s a fire hazard
and people have
to work!
